National Hangover Day 2020
NATIONAL HANGOVER DAY
National Hangover Day |
National Hangover Day is extended New Year's day, that is,
January 1st. As a lot of partying takes place a night before, people
usually end up with a lot of party-food, hard liquor, and cocktails which
indeed seem to be doubling the celebrations up but also come with a price from
12 to 13 hours of consumption: a hangover! Yes, January 1 is thus, also titled
a national HANGOVER day. The history of the day goes back to late 1800s when a
“Hangover cure” called Fernet was
invented by BernardinoBranca to 1972 when a self-professed alcoholic published
a book called “On Drink” where he published a lot of cures for hangovers to
2010 when a book titled as “Hangover Cookbook” was published by a
publisher named Milton Crawford. The
book helps understand your hangover and suggests the appropriate remedies to
cure them.

The following list suggests a few ways in which National
Hangover Day can be observed:
· Having
some hangover remedies ready. Which means preparing and stocking up on those
items which help one during a hangover. These things such as antacids,
ibuprofen, salted chips or whatever the preferred remedies are, must be on hand
when in need.
· Hosting
a post-party lunch or a hangover lunch to be precise. Maybe a perfectly made
Bloody Mary can help turn a sad depressing hangover into a happy and gay
feeling.
· Doing
exercises and mental workouts. Finding peace inside the mind can help out
clearing out the dark negative clouds within.
Nation Hangover Day 1st January |

A reference however comes in 1993 review of a concert by a jam band Phish. In December 2009, Warner Bros. marketed the DVD release of its hit comedy film The Hangover by declaring January 1st National Hangover Day. This event corresponds with the greatest search interest in National Hangover Day on Google. The National Day Calendar, a popular website that tracks all those hashtag holidays you see around the internet, added National Hangover Day in 2015. It says it was dreamy up by two friends who observed that many of their peers were too busy nursing headaches on January 1st to kick off their New Year’s resolutions.
Hangover remedies may be as simple as consumption of lemon
water or squeezing a lemon straight through the tongue to more insane cures.
Some of these insane remedies to cure hangovers from around the world are
listed below.
1 When
people wake up with a hangover in Russia, some of them do prefer spending time
in a nice hot steamy sauna followed by a session of someone pummeling you with
birch branches.

canarys were eaten in ancient Rome to cure heavy hangovers. It jokingly said
that only a “bird brain” would try this.

like bloody Mary, a very popular hangover cure cocktail in the USA, in
Mongolia, some crazy minded people treat their hangovers with a drink named
Mongolian Mary which comes with a complete pickled sheep eye garnish.
An interesting thing to be observed is that the National
Hangover Day falls on the same day as National Bloody Mary Day
and both of them occur due to the New Year’s Day celebrations. However, it is
suggested that drinking wisely can help you avoid regrettable incidents.
The first of January must be fulfilling, fresh and toxin-free
so that the start of a new year is not rough and one can consume a whole lot of
it.
