Horse Protection Day
NATIONAL HORSE PROTECTION DAY
National Horse Protection Day |
National
Horse Protection Day is on March 1st. this was created to bring
light to the plight of horses in America and beyond and help the thousands of
unwanted horses in this country to find forever homes. The
horse holds a legendary charm in the American culture. It helped to forge
a nation and yet despite that many go unwanted, abused or neglected.
National Horse Protection Day is about addressing those issues. National Horse Protection Day (NHPD) is also known as
World Horse Day (WHD). Horses are an icon of Freedom in old times every fight
between any two were fought with the help of this animals mostly. Aside from
the dog, horses have been man's best friend for centuries, carrying them
cross-country, being their faithful comrades in battle, pulling the wagons that
carried their families, their supplies and materials for their homesteads. Many
families would not have had a home if it weren't for the tireless efforts of
their true blue horse, holding hundreds of pounds of supplies and water back
and forth for miles and weeks at a time. Horses, with their gentle nature and
deep emotional soul offer friendship and help to heal children with
disabilities.
Horse when thought about always give a good image in mind may be a warrior
fighting for his country, a cowboy, a prince or a king, etc... horses are also
remembered in the Child's lullaby's and dreams. But now, thankfully because of people like you who care - people who have been
educated through public awareness causes such as NHPD and WHD.
